V&A Village Fete
Event
Curated by Scarlet Projects, this annual event is a contemporary take on the traditional village fete. 20-30 designers and design groups are invited to conceive and host stalls that allow the public to experience and interact with design in an informal and fun way.
The Multistorey [Mercantile, Dry Goods and Cattle Feed] Annual Rodeo:
This year, visitors were invited to lasso our life size Texas Longhornbull, Angry Larry. If they were successful, a prize of a miniature cardboard version of Larry was given to take home. Angry Larry was constructed from 6 separate pieces of flat plywood which slotted together. The miniature bulls were made from a textured dual faced card, which gave the impression of a piebald brown / white hide.
Thanks to Simon Casey for the woodworking skills and thanks to GF Smith for the beautiful paper.
