Event

An open day for twelve contract furnitue companies based in Clerkenwell, London. We were commissioned by Scarlet Projects to create the printed material and display items for this annual event. We wanted the graphics to be integrated with the furniture on show and so created knitted posters that were made into cushions. As the event fell around Christmas time we used Fairisle knitting patterns mixing images of furniture with alpine and festive motifs. The knitting patterns were then translated to a purely graphic form for use on the extensive range of printed material.

For display purposes, we produced hundreds of cardboard geodesic spheres as oversized Christmas baubles, printed with the SAT/3 knitted graphic. A carpet was made using the design, creating a huge Fairisle scarf at the entrance to one of the participating showrooms.
