This is a self promotional mailer. The cost of the postage for sending out our introductory mailers was broken down into 1pence stamps. We made lettering from the stamps that formed the greeting 'HELLO'. The stamps therefore became both the message and the means of getting it to the audience. We worked directly with the First Day Edition department at Royal Mail in Mount Pleasant, London to hand stamp the mailers with a specially selected franking rubber stamp.
